The easiest place for pirates to intercept these ships was when they were passing through the Caribbean stocking up on supplies before crossing the Atlantic Ocean. Part of the reason for pirates’ fascination with gold and treasure was thanks to its abundance during the Golden Age of Pirates which was around the 16th and 17th century when the Spanish in particular were transporting gold back to Spain from its conquered lands in Central and South America. And rightly so! Pirates in the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Pirates were driven by the search for gold and treasure. +More skills for the main character, crew members, and upgrades to the ships.Īnd last, but not least.No tale about a pirate or Caribbean pirate ship is complete without some reference to treasure or hidden treasure chests that come with a crumpled treasure map leading to where X marks the spot. +More variety/purpose/animations of buildings in your pirate town. +Able to start/build/name your pirate town in any area of the world you control. +Able to give up and be captured/imprisoned instead of being sunk when you know you aren't able to escape from certain death.

(I normally turn the in-game music off and have epic pirate songs from youtube in the background ) ) Better antialiasing so the ropes aren't jagged/see through. +More missions/things going on in the world simultaneous to what you're doing. Crew is also effected by yellow fever and other illnesses, ailments, and/or moral. +Hardcore mode that requires ships to carry food and water that is consumed by the crew. Also the ability to walk around your pirate ship. +Ability to disembark from your ship and explore/fight in areas of the world. +More areas of the world to explore/sail to instead of quick traveling all the time. +Improvements to the open world such as ports/cities being more detailed/animated.

Not all of you may agree with me on these but just some thoughts.

This discussion may never be seen by the devs, but I'd like to share my thoughts on possible future improvements or even a sequel to this game.
